How to build an Out House.

Nature made is by far the cheapest, but it takes a lot of hard work. You will need tools to work with the stone and tools to work with the wood of trees. Be sure your tools are sharp and have no rust on them. Check to be sure the handles are in good shape, It’s best if you own the tools you use.

There are many brand name tools to select from, but brand names are expensive. There are tools made by lesser unknown people that are just as good. And you can find tools that are so cheaply made that they will fall apart when they are first used, Remember that guaranties do not mean that the tool is the best. The tool that holds a sharp edge longer, is the best tool. But it has to be used properly as the manufacturer warrants.

Any tool can be dangerous if not used according to the instructions. A design for building an outhouse can be drawn by any one that can hold a pencil. Or you can purchase a plan from a hardware store, a building centers or a book store, Some times they can be found in magazines. Some plans can be purchased and some are free for the asking,

Before you start to build, you can ask around or advertise in a paper, on the radio, or TV or inquire at church, school meetings, political rallies, or by putting a note on bulletin boards, for one that is not being used,

First decide if you want a two, three or four hole. Or maybe a one large hole with a child’s hole. Chances are that you can find one for free, if you will just come and get it and haul it away. But a lot of people that have one, are now using them for a storage shad. The cost of building a storage shad is almost out of anyone’s ability to pay for one, and there is a lot of competition in purchasing a pre-manufactured or a ready built storage shad.

As for the early day out houses, I doubt if you can find one that is finished inside or out. The more modern ones will have a moon crest on the door for ventilation and appearance, People that have old paint, sometimes would paint them with multi colors of paint. In the year of nineteen eighteen, Red, White and Blue colors were the favorite colors to use. Oh you should know that Monkey Wards, never started to print catalog’s until years later. And they don’t print them any more. Some people used News Papers, but the ink on the paper would smear and make It difficult to read.

Generally, one will start with digging the hole in the ground first. But some people prefer to build the outhouse first, then move it over the hole. But don’t lose any sleep over making this decision, as it really don’t make much difference how you go about it. Country life is by far the best, with taxes and city laws being what they are. Now days you have to have your ‘butt holes’ building inspected ever so many years and that has a price tag attached to it. You can be fined for doing most anything when using a outhouse that hasn’t been inspected and approved. But you are permitted to use your cell phone while in there!

When ever you go to a large gathering event for and of people, you will always see A number of them new poly made outhouses. You could just load one in the back of your pickup and take it home. That is, if you are feeling lucky!

Of course, if you have a Standard Service Station on a corner close by, you could always run for it. Maybe they would even give you a key!

One more suggestion would be, if you do a lot of shopping at the bigger stores, they all have rest rooms available for the customers to use.

If none of these suggestions will work for you. Have you tried seeing how long you can hold it ?

This service is free, and thank you for flying with us!
