It took all day to get here, and it was worth it. I can see the past, the present and the future, the things I have done and all the mistakes I have made along the way. Now it is getting dark and I’ll never make it down off this mountain in the dark. It’s cold up here. if I can find a cave with a bear in it. Maybe I could curl up by her and keep warm.
Look at all those mistakes I have made! If I had only known, things wouldn’t have turned out the way they did. Are those people really crying and is it because of what I did? “Hi” I’m sorry, please don’t cry. They are so far away they can’t hear me!
Look over there, those people have been hurt and they need help, but where will they find it, there is no place close by for anyone to hear the cries! Was I really going that fast and not paying attention? This is awful and I can’t help them.
Look there, it is a child floating face down in the water, It is not moving, is the child still alive! Do you think that someone told the child to go jump in a lake, without knowing if they could swim or not? Yes, one does say things without thinking, could it have been me?
That old cabin is not there anymore, I was just there a few days ago. Did I leave without putting the fire out? Everything that was there is gone, There is only smoldering ashes left on the ground.
Let’s take a look at the future, where am I? I can’t see myself anywhere. I know I am here in the present, I am cold and shivering and turning blue. If only I had done all those things differently, now it is too late.
I don’t recognize any one down there, where have they all gone to. There goes another time period, it all happens so fast. One has to do it right the first time as you will not have another chance.
Please! Please, let things slow down, time is so short. Let us walk with each other, running is for races. Take my hand and let’s all do it the right way.
