Farming on the Canadian border in Montana, the DEA suspected that the farmer was growing drug plants, on his farm. Early one morning a DEA officer along with FBI agent, Home Land Security agent, gathered so they could conduct a search of the Farmer’s fields.
The Farmer said to go ahead but his property ended at the fence line and everything on the other side was Canadian soil. He said: I wouldn’t go there if I were you, they will shoot you. The farmer starter to say, “but” the DEA officer went into a rage.
The DEA agent said to the farmer: I am an appointed officer of the United States Government and I can go where ever and when ever I want, as he showed his badge and ID card to the Farmer, so don’t you tell me where I can or can’t go. The farmer through up is arms as he walked away.
The farmer returned to his work and soon he heard a commotion that would be hard to believe, The DEA officer, along with the other officers were running and yelling trying to stay a head of big old Grizzly Bear and the Grizzly was gaining on them.

Behind the Grizzly was a mad Buffalo, a Moose and some smaller Bears. The Farmer ran toward them, Yelling to the DEA agent, Show him you badge, Show him your badge, The Grizzly was almost breathing down the DEA agent’s neck, when he got his badge out and held it in front of the Grizzly’s nose. The Grizzly skidded to a stop, turned and with his tail between his legs and his head almost dragging on the ground, he slowly walked away.
Don’t stop here, There is more!
The Buffalo, the Moose and the other Bears never saw the badge and down came the fence, the ground shock and dust so thick you couldn’t see a thing for a hour or more.

Once it cleared, one could see clothing a shoe here and there and parts of Agents all over the place, And shinny gold badges, on the ground, sparkling in the sun. The ground was so chewed up it looked like some one had plowed a field and was about to plant a crop.
If you were to go there today, You would find four grave sites, close to the border line. It was known that there were three Agents of the USA, But the person in that forth grave has never been identified. No, it’s not the farmer, he is still planting crops on his farm in the north country.
The moral of the story is, Be sure to show your badge to everyone, when you go snooping around!
