Her name was Shelby.

Her name was Shelby .

Her name was Shelby, We first met when I was setting on our back porch watching nature do her thing. While setting there, she came up on the porch and got up on my lap and was purring like an expensive car. Shelby was a beautiful orange colored female cat from next door. She lived with a single young lady that also had a big yellow dog .

The young lady told me that she had never see her cat take to anyone before. But Shelby and I hit it off almost immediately, she decided that I belonged to her and the house I lived in was hers. She would set at one of the doors and meow and scratch until someone let her in. Then she would look for me jump upon my lap. I was usually at my computer key board working on something and she was always ready to help. Our friendship was good, until she started bringing me gifts like a grass snake or a mouse. She had this game she wanted to play with me. She would turn what ever she had, lose in the house and we would then try to find it and toss it outside.

We remained friends until the girl that lived next door moved. She gave the cat to someone else and if she would have ask, we would have adopted the cat. That’s life in a fast lane so, slow down and watch the flowers grow.
