They say you can’t teach an Old Dogs new tricks and I always thought that was referring to Old Men. But I just discovered that Old Men can learn, if they want too!
I discovered one of the reasons that it takes Peggy so long to come out of her bed room in the mornings is: She sets on the edge of her bed and stares at herself in the mirror, and thinking to herself, what’s the use, nothing can be done to help this mess. She will even close one eye at a time and see if that helps. If she comes out of her room smiling, I might get some breakfast, if not, the dog and I go for a long walk.
I also learned, and will pass this along to you guys. Never invite an old women in to your bed room. It don’t make any difference who she is. This means only one thing to an old lady and it is considered to be an invitation, that they will insist that you keep. For Old Men, death can come at anytime. Make arrangements with a local mortician now, he can also help you to find a burial plot, don’t put it off!
I have a thing or two to write down before I go on to other things for the day. If I forget them, who knows if they will ever be remembered. This is about how I came to have this injury on my forehead,
Well, When Peg was a child, who has never really grown up, She was noted for her temper tantrums. Of course I didn’t know this before we were married. It was a year or so later that I learned about these tantrums and I thought in the years to come, she would out-grow them. I was wrong! They came less frequently, but were four times as strong, but only lasted a short time.
Now back to the thing on my forehead. All of a sudden there were tears in her eyes and I tried to comfort her and was using my words very carefully. But it wasn’t the words I used, it was the ones I didn’t use. Right after the explosion, A fry pay came flying at me, I saw it coming and ducked. She had missed me by a short mile and I wasn’t thinking about it bouncing off of the wall and coming back at me.
Well, my memory is slowly coming back and I can remember my first name, it’s Ben and she says the last name is Mud !
