Custer and the battle of Bunker Hill !

Chester fought in the battle of Bunker Hill and you will better remember him as Chester Chicken. This battle was fought in1775 sometime before the battle of The little Big Horns in 1876 and it doesn’t have a thing to do with George A. Custer, It is just that the title sounded pretty good, so I thought I would try it out. Now do I start with Custer or the Battle of Bunker hill? One of my ancestors was killed at Bunker Hill and Thank god, Custer was no ancestor.

Custer is remembered for saying those famous words ( Where did all them Damn Indians come from) ? We never heard if Custer died from an arrow or a bullet ! If I have been with Custer, I thinks I would have tried to kill him myself, as very few of the soldiers liked him! I have heard that one of his Scouts had tried to kill him a number of times. I have read some about the battle of the Big Horns, nowhere did it say just what killed Custer.

This man was so arrogant, that no one wanted anything to do with him. Every Indian wanted his hair and some lucky Indian most likely got it. But not a word was said if he lost his scalp in the battle or not.

I wonder, It was said that Custer’s horse survived the battle and I never read anywhere. If someone caught him or if he returned to army stable. It has been said, this is what most army horses do, if they can.

I saw a drawing of Custer, with a hundred arrows sticking in his back and around the same number in his chest area, I wonder, what was it, he had on under that buckskin jacket? I saw the jacket in a museum that he wore in the battle, on display at the battle ground site, but there were no holes in it. Can a buckskin grow back together? If you are ever going by that battle ground in Montana, stop and take a look. It is interesting. When you go to read about the battle of the Big Horns, most of what you will read is about the Indians.
