I went fishing once or twice, never really knew much about it and was never good at it. Things like, which size hook to use and never knew what fish liked what bait. Those that do a lot of fishing, know all of these things. The truth is, I never really like to eat fish and I never did like to clean them.
As I understand, there are many kinds of fish, there are fresh water fish and salt water fish and fish that we never see, at the bottom of the oceans. Those are the strange looking one that scare the stuff out of a person. Some are so tiny you can hardly see them and then there are those bigger than some houses. I think the one that is the most dangerous and the one we hear the most about is the shark or maybe the barracuda. I am sure there are many, more Dangerous, but I am no authority on fish. Can you imagine, trying to put one of them big guys in a pan to fry?
I have even heard about fish that just lay on the bottom of rivers or dams that you have to feel around for and catch with your hands. Some as big as the person catching them. There are those that are said to jump right in your boat and up in Alaska, I have heard that some will build the fire and jump right into your fry pan. However there is a secret word that you have to use, it sounds something like: “hair-a-pin” There is a county fair in town And one of the things you can get to eat, is a Fish on a stick!
My favorite fish to eat is a “Carp” . First you find a board that has a flavor you like. Hickory, Cedar, Elm, Pine, whatever you prefer. This board will need to be a little larger than the fish and be sure it nice and clean. Put the fish on the board and season to your liking. (“Warning” Do not use any board that has been painted with lead paint.)Place in a heated oven at 250 degrees for half an hour. When the fish is tender and a golden brown, remove board from the oven. Remove the fish form the board, toss the fish in the garbage and eat the board!
I have some great tips for your boat and camping out!
