Those sounds you hear in the dark..

Remember when you were really young, those noises coming from under your bed and you thought there was a ghost in your closet? A strange sound that you had never heard before. You would wake up screaming and mom or Dad would run to you to see what was wrong. You were shaking all over and white as your bed sheet. Your parents assured you that there was nothing to be afraid of and they shined a flash light under your bed and in the closet, so you could see for yourself.

Walking alone after dark and hearing something that you couldn’t see, first it sounded to be really close, than it came from far away. Was it floating around in the dark? What was it? Where did it come from? Was it after you? How far from a cemetery are you and you seem to be frozen in this one spot and can’t run! Have you ever had the feeling that you were being followed? You could hear footsteps behind you and a dog barking or a cat searching in a trash can. A door that wasn’t closed tight, with a squeaky hinge from the blowing wind. Who would want to hurt you and why? You pray that god will protect you from any harm. Did god hear you or was he busy with something else just as important? These are questions that you never get an answer to, that you want right now! Different sounds cause many people to be scared out of their wits. Some people think there are snakes, on the bedroom floor and are afraid to step out of bed. Some think that spiders are crawling all over them, under the covers. Or one is coming down a web from the ceiling, to have a feast of blood and flesh.

The wind is blowing and a strange sound is coming from the roof on the house, could it be a branch from a tree, or is it a ghost? Remember the ghost that was trapped in the wall, and was trying to dig his way out with his fingers? Is that sound coming from the window, a mad man with a meat cleaver, coming after you? I never believed in ghosts before or haunted houses. Even if one could smell things that weren’t there or hear strange sounds. I never believed in life hereafter or life in other dimensions. I can remember putting something in one place and finding it in another place. There were other thing that had been moved and no one else had been in the house. I have found things in my dresser drawer that had been moved around and no one but a ghost could have done that! Yes, strange things have happened to all of us, you just don’t believe them and want to put them out of your mind. The dark of night holds many secrets, but there are day time mystery’s also. Have you ever turned off a light and it came right back on? Or be all alone in a lighted room and the light goes out, We all say it burned out, but did you try the bulb in another socket to see if it worked and it did?

You know about Witches and Warlocks and the walking dead, they are called Zombies. Witches conger up spells to put on you and Voodoo is when they stick pens in a doll that looks like you and you feel them. If it were up to me, I would put poison ivy, poison oak, castor oil and all bad tasting things that no child likes, in this group and lose them somewhere. Junk foods, biting dogs and hissing cats, birds that poop all over. Along with bad neighbors should be in this group. Let’s add Bad weather, State and U.S. Representatives and Lawyers. Is there anything else that you would like to get rid of, just add it to the list! Each and every one of you can make a list of all you don’t want to hear or like. You can hang on to Casper “The Ghost” if you want, he appears to be a good guy ghost!

If it lives in the ground, crawls from the water to land. Only come out after dark and if it makes one cry or scares the crap out of you, I don’t want it around! If you are still afraid, put a medicine bag or a cross around your neck to ward off those life treating spirits and Don’t go anywhere without a sharp wooden stake and a hammer to drive into the heart of a Vampire. They say that a garlic bulb will keep the Werewolf away.

Now! Is there anything else that you are scared of and want to apply to this list?
