Hinkle was the simple type, he had a round face and a long nose that looked a lot like wood. NO! He wasn’t related to that one called Pinocchio and Hinkle didn’t appear to have any knowledge on anything. He had eyes the size of quarters and the right one was always half closed and it had no eye brow over it. If you were to ask him a question, it took along time before he would answer. It was more than just being slow, it was like he missed the boat altogether.
Hinkle came from a family that lived high up in the hills in Azellia. Don’t ask, no one else knows either. It is possible that it’s not even part of this world or with-in this universe.
It was on one of them warm days in the middle of a desert, that small group of them appeared. They had been roaming in the desert for weeks and had no water and no food, but hey did have something in a jug that appeared to be embalming fluid. Many people thought it was a magic potion and were trying to steal it. But each time they came close, this small group would beat them off.
It was a caravan of Camels with the lost tribe of Israel that found them. Of course neither people could understand the other’s spoken words. But for what it was in those jugs, made them friends for life. Some of the Israel tribe’s people nearly died after sipping that liquid plumber.
Hinkle was thought to have been married and her name was Wokee. When ever she was asked something, she would say: “ookee”. It was hard to tell how many of them there were, as most of them were always hiding behind others or something. It was said that Hinkle was the oldest, at 104 years and he was chosen as the leader. They traveled light and it appeared that all they had besides the jugs, was the clothing on their back, that is if it could be called clothing.
The Desert where these people were found was in the deep back country of south Dakota, That is not the true place of where they were found, I didn’t want to make anyone mad, so I use the name of my own state. But let me say, there are people in the back country of Australia and some in Hollywood, that bear a strong resemblance to these people. As the story goes. One of them got away in Holly-wood and was working as a deputy sheriff,f in the western series of “Gun Smoke”
It is said, there is one more, that is said to be living in the valley of hay seeds and says he is a cousin of mine, That’s just not true, All of my cousins are girls!
Okay, are one of you girls, impersonating a guy and if so, why? This is a big concern of mine, in another part of the family, an Uncle named Henny was passing himself off as a girl and ended up married to a rich guy. No, I don’t think they had any children, but when Christmas came around you never knew what to buy for who. But a fortune was left to someone called Dinnke Link.
People that came down from those hills, never knew if they were brothers or sisters or which kids belonged to which parent. They all razed hogs and traded them for Corn, made Ethanol, but no one had a car and they shared that with each other. They also ran races on week ends, barefooted. Babies were reared on that stuff.
When ever one passed on, they bodies would keep forever in the old out house.

When the old mules couldn’t plow the fields any longer, they gave the same ethanol to them and turned them loose with the plows still attached. This is what caused the Great Tennessee Valley. And the lower part of the Mississippi. Some say the great Smoky Mountains were caused from the settling dust.
This is supposed to be the story on Hinkle Dinkle, not a history lesion.
Like I said, We never knew just how many of them were brought in out of the desert, but they sure multiplied fast. There are still some of the family serving as Senators and representatives in DC. I guess you just can’t kill em, once they have had their share of that ethanol. How they ever got into our family, we will never know. I think someone was looking the other way.
Nadley, was another one of the group, where they ever got that name, is beyond me. It sounds kind of foreign if you ask me. I’ll bet those people had more secrets than the government. But the name that floored me was Mary, I just can’t believe that one.
I seem to be running out of things, ink, paper, memory, brain cells are always in short supply. Maybe I should just leave the end for you to fill in, I don’t always have good ideas, Didn’t all the Great Masters of the past, leave something unfinished?
