" Is there really a Crocoldile in the Pond ?"

Is there really a thirty foot Crocodile in the pond at Memorial Park? Well I don’t know about a-bout it being thirty foot long, but there is definitely something in there! The wife and I were walking around the Park pond, we had just crossed the foot bridge at the spill way and gone maybe, a hundred feet beyond, We both noticed a bicycle, with the front half in the water. The first thing , I thought was, did a child ride his bike into the pond and drowned?

The wife held on to my hand, while I reached down to get a hold of the back bike tire and rim to pull it from the pond. I had no sooner got my hand on the bike when something powerful jerked it from my hand
and you could see that there was something big in the water as it churned.

As we stood there, a little girl was standing not too far away and close to the water’s edge, then she disappeared. I stood there thinking, “ No , I didn’t see what I thought I had just seen”

This was getting to be questionable, was I dreaming or what? Had to find a way to check this out, so I pushed my wife into the water and watched the air bubbles come to the Surface and in no time at all, she was ejected from the water, like a missile being fired from a submarine and she landed on the grass close to where I was standing. I helped her to get back on her feet and she was limping, as we made our way back to the car. I could see she was turning red with anger when I said: we should go to the police station and report this! From there, we went home.

She called a friend or two, then the phone started ringing and rang all afternoon, as the word went out to a number of people. That night I just could not sleep, I got up , dressed and took my heavy duty flash light and went back to Memorial park pond.

I must have went around that pond a dozen times, shining my light in the water` Each time I heard some huge splashes come from the other side. About that time was when I heard sirens, then came the flashing red and amber lights. The whole police department was coming for a visit.

One of them handed me a card that said; I was guilty until proven innocent, and put hand cuffs on me. The police chief had a rope. It was too heavy for fishing. Was there to be a hanging? About that time this Croc, had the chief’s leg in his mouth. One end of the rope was tied around the Chief’s waist, the other end was being held by the rest of the police. They were going to have a tug of war with the Croc.

No one was watching, so I ran, Now I am hiding in an old shack in north Rapid.

Will someone tell my wife, that I won’t be home for breakfast? If anyone wants to adopt me, I am available.
