"A tender Heart"

My little tender heart was broken when I saw you kiss him. How could anyone prefer a goat, when there was someone like me that was wanting you?

I had watched you since I was a young boy, You were walking and skipping along and wiggling the way you do, going from one place to the next, Every turn you made was done so magnificently and the poise that you displayed, was something to cherish and remember. My heart will never be the same and when ever I think of you, it will skip a beat or two. Life with out you will be hard, but you kissed that goat, how can anyone ever want to put their lips on yours, after that?

In fact, I think I would rather kiss a pig than you. Well, I never thought that I would have a chance so soon, but it was nice. And now I know why! This lady showed more compassion than a dozen girls your age. As soon as we can locate this Pig’s parents, I will ask for their blessings and find out how much they want for her.

I will build a castle for her to live in, and give her everything she wants, the moon, the sky so blue, flowers, a life of leisure in a kingdom of her liking, to rule. She will receive the best Pig chow that can be had I will care of her and heed to her smallest of commands, up to and not including largest request, with out questions.

All of this for the smell of bacon sizzling and ham baking. Two eggs along with that will do until lunch.
Young or old, French or American, Italian or German, with onions or sour kraut. Cheese crackers & wine to start with, Cold beer after dinner and for a kicker, a good cigar.

Now I’m hungry, I’ll be back as soon as I can find something to eat, I am back, I found No Ham, nothing but a cold piece of liver and a raw wiener, I think I went to my own kitchen, as there were dirty dishes in the sink. There were no bright yellow curtains in this kitchen and My windows have never had a curtain over them. I am not sure if my windows were painted brown or just dirty. I doubt if the inside of the glass had ever been wet. I am sure that rain had washed some of the dirt off on the outside. I put my nose up on the window pane on the inside and left a print of the tip of my nose.

But let us not get too far off the subject, “Here Porky”, “Here porky”, come to daddy, for a hug. Ham and yams for the Hollow-days, yum yum for the tummy, Give the duck to the dogs. Set two places at the table for me and don’t invite any guests.

Who is making the dressing? Will the potatoes be baked or mashed? no lumps in the gravy please, maybe sour cream. Hot dinner rolls with soft butter, four kinds of Pickles, small hunks of cheese, cranberry sauce, Jell-O salad. Any thing that looks good, I am so hungry I could eat the plate. Ice water with a touch of lemon juice in it. Coffee hot, A large supply of napkins and a finger bowl. Give me two forks, one for each hand.

Let’s not forget to say the blessings for the food and don’t forget the pills that will help our full stomachs. Let the girls do the dishes while we guys set out on the porch with our ice tea and other beverages.

Someone come and keep the flies away, they are bothering me ! While you are here. can you find a stool for my feet. ?

Bless you Lord, for taking such good care of me.

Honey, Have I told you how much I love you, Lately?

Let us not forget……………………………………..
