"Side Walk and Garage Sales"

It was such a beautiful day, I decided to go for a walk. It had been some time since I felt up to one. I stopped at the gate and looked up and down the street. I chose to go down and walked slowly, to look at flowers and birds and what ever was of interest. I love to visit with dogs as they wag their tails and appear to like me.

Then on down the street to the next corner and turned to go in another direction. About half way down that block, a lady came running out to the street, where I was standing. She grabbed me by my arm and I was escorted to her garage, where they were having a sale. There were three ladies acting as sales people and each was showing me something.

That was when there was some kind of a commotion on the street out front, two cars were fighting for a parking place on the street!

The ladies had let go of me and I took off running through the back yard and jumped a fence, but somehow I was caught on something and had fallen to the ground. No one had seen me fall and I was well hidden from view. I wasn’t hurt, but I laid there for a few minutes to catch my breath.

When I got up, I went between two houses, to the next street and came to a sudden stop. Up, down and across the street, every house in the block was having a yard sale, Let me tell you, it was like circus there.

Before I got to the end of the block, I had bought a child’s bicycle, a doll house, a couple of ladies blouses and a skimpy black leather bikini, bottom part of a swim suit or shorts. It came with a free black leather sling shot.

Once I was in the clear, I dropped everything and ran. Two blocks over, I was in one of them Circle Courts, one way in and the same way out.

This is where that Lion or Tiger had gotten a hold of me. This thing was so angry I really couldn’t tell if it was a male or female, but it drug me off and into an old shed and dropped me behind some old blankets. Then it turned and went back out the door. I was thinking it had left and was going to make a run for it, but that animal was setting just out side of the door! It growled and hissed at me and I returned to the spot where I was left.

A few weeks later, a guy came into the shed, looking for something and he was tossing things around, when he spotted some bones, there in that corner, they were all picked clean. Then he found a wrist watch, some glasses, a bill fold with an ID Card, but where the name would have been found, it had been chewed to pieces. A pocket knife and some coins and an I D bracelet, saying I was a diabetic, was also found and that bracelet had my name on it.

The police came and they notified my wife and she took my life insurance policy and ran to the Insurance co. They said: sorry, but the policy had lapsed two or more years ago.

We had one and a half good years together, no children, only a dog and a cat. She gave the dog away, she kept the cat, sold the house and station wagon, sold the furniture, then she went to Vegas. She spread the money around to several gambling casinos then tried to get a job as one of the dancing girls, but she was hired as clown at Circus/Circus, and is still there!

This is called a Love Story and I was loved for a short while, when it was thought that I had money !!
