"Going Fishing"

My Niece, We will call her “K” relayed this story to me, and I am sure she wouldn’t mind if I passed it on to you. “K” and her husband live on a ranch, some miles north of this city. Both love to fish and they make trips to the Missouri river and lake Oahe Dam, for a week end of fishing.

On one if their last trips, they were driving east on hwy-way 212 they had passed Mud Butte. Several miles east of Faith, they saw a guy that was walking on the side of the road carrying a suit case. Now there is not much travel at this road at this hour of the day and it looked like a storm was building and it was going to rain.

After a short discussion, they agreed that they should give the guy a ride. so they stopped and waited for him to catch up. “K’s” husband offered to put the suit case in the back, but the man said he would just hold it on his lap. As they drove on, they tried to make conversation with this guy, but he wasn’t very cooperative and said very little. When they asked how far he was going, he would only say, east.

After a couple of hours they arrived at a bridge, where the state Highway patrol had set up a road block. They slowed to approach the road block and an officer came over to the window.

As he started to talk, the passenger in their vehicle, opened the door, jumped out and started to run out across the field. Two of the state patrol officers went after him. The chased him around a half mile and caught him. When the were back at the bridge, he was asked. Why did you run?
But he wasn’t talking.

My niece told them that he had a suit case with him and it was still in the vehicle. An officer retrieved it and placed it on the trunk of a patrol car. They asked him what was in it and he said nothing that would interest you. It wasn’t locked so the officer opened it.

Can you guess what they found ? This is going to crack you up! It was full of bull shit just like the rest of the story you just read…….

Thanks “K”
Ben R.
