There are things lurking in those night shadows that were not meant to be there, things that sneak up on you and scare the daylights out of you. You run, but those things can keep up with you and are there until you go inside where there are lights and other people.
Sometimes, those shadows are real people coming to meet you and walk along with you to protect you from fear or harm. But then, you didn’t know and they could have said something, so you would have known. It is not known if anyone has been taken or is still missing from a encounter With one of these mysteries of the night.
It has been said that there is a land far away where all of these monsters live, and every so often one of them turns up missing. But there is little that can be done, until it returns to the home land. Once it is back home, the others will take away that “night roamers” night vision for as long as the Monsters Union decides. Sometimes it is only a short span and other times it can be permanent. If you happen to meet the same monster in the night, more than just once, you will know he or she must have had a friend on the Union Committee. But as they say: once you have been scared by one of them, you will never be out at night, to see another one. It is said, that once one learns how to scare a person, they will forever be wanting to do it many- many times over and it is said, that these night monsters live for thousands and thousands of earth years.
I have heard that a Bad person, here on earth, will be turned into one of these monster creatures when they die and are sent to this place as it is a part of “Hell”. But then, you will hear a lot of things that people say they heard others say, that has been said. And chances are it was one of them Bad-Bad people who said it before they were sent to live in this Dark- Dark place.
Believe me, You will not see me even close, to where ever that is. I have had to change my shorts a number of times, when I got home at night, from being out walking after dark. And I have scars to prove it. Just ask, and I will show them to you!
If a shadow moves, chances are it is brush or tree limb, but if the wind is blowing and the shadow doesn’t move, pick up you feet and run as fast as you can. If you hear a sound, that sounds like the wind whispering in your ear, it is getting close, so shift into high and put some distance between yourself and that thing. Do not turn to look back, for when you do, it will gain on you!
I once had a big black dog that always walked with me at night. He was always ready to fight a Lion and was considered to be quite mean. We were surprised by a night monster, one night, and when we got home, My big dog had turned Gray and his legs wouldn’t hold him up-right! My legs were shaking so bad, I couldn’t make them move either! Yes, that foul smell was there again. We both had to change our shorts…
Speaking of things that go bump in the night, there are other things that are just as bad, Nothing that could eat you up in a couple of bites, but if there were a half dozen of them, they could have your body clean down to the bone in just a few minutes,
There are things that crawl up out of holes and cracks in the ground, out of streams of water and ponds and lakes. These things are never seen in the daylight, they only come out after dark.
I know of a young pretty blond girl that stayed out late with a boyfriend, they spread a blanket on the grass and laid on their backs looking up at the stars. Something snuck up on her, in the dark, and bit her behind and low on one ear. It ate a hole through the skull and came out just above and slightly to the front of the ear on the other side. It dripped with a yellow and green liquid that kept running down her back. They tried to plug it up, but what ever they used, would dissolve. If you were in the right position, you could see straight through her head, to the other side.
And there are all kinds of crawly and wiggly things that drop on your clothing as you pass by or under trees and bushes. Those Bats that hang up-side down, if they get in your hair the only way to get them out is to shave your head. Then they will have to coat your head with a vinyl stuff and once that is been put on your head, your hair will never grow again. Believe me! You don’t want to have glue and horse hair on your head!
