"Care Free & Light Foot"

Care Free and Light Foot, are a dog and a cat, that have bonded together and become very close to each other. Each helps and depends on the other in their daily lives as they travel and investigate all things.

Both, are young in years but they have a superior knowledge when they work together. They met in the country, where someone had dropped the dog off, as he was no longer welcome at a home. The cat was one of many, that was born on the farm. He was not a large dog, maybe 20 or 25 lbs. was brown and white and clean looking. She was a calico cat of average size and also very clean.

One day, the cat was looking for a mouse in a corn field, when the dog was just wondering around. He “the dog” had surprised Her “the cat” When he came up-on her in the field. She asked where he was going ? So he told her his story and said he was only looking for a place to spend the night and find something to eat. She said: that she could help, by providing both. They both headed for the barn and along the way, she introduced him to a number of other animals. Some of them were afraid of him as he was different from the other animals on the farm. But most of the animals seemed to accept him.

Early the following morning, Lightfoot told him to hide in the barn, as she really didn’t know how the farmer would react in having a dog on the farm. After the farmer went to work in the fields, Lightfoot showed Care free around and he asked a lot of questions. When Lightfoot ask about life in the city, CareFree also thought she asked a lot of questions. They talked about many things and learned much from each other.

After several days had passed. The farmer saw Care Free and trapped him in the barn, He was tied up until the farmer decided what he was going to do with him. Maybe the farmer could find someone to give the dog to. Care Free told the cat, the if he were lose, he would just leave and go on his way. The cat (Lightfoot) said I will go with you, as there are too many cats on this farm, so off they went side by side. At night they would cuddle-up close together and sleep and hunt for food as they traveled.

They came to one home, where a small girl offered food to Lightfoot, with her fingers and then the girl got a hold of the cat and took her indoors and was gong to keep her. Careless was trying to find a way to get Lightfoot set free. Care Free was setting just outside of the door and Lightfoot told him to bark and scratch on the door and when the door opened, she would make a dash for the outside. Care Free did this and it worked, they were together again and on their way once again.

After traveling and seeing all the sights, they came to a town where Care Free was trapped by the city dog catcher and put in a cage at the city pound. Finding a way to set Careless free was going to be difficult!

Again Lightfoot told Care Free, that when someone came to the pound looking for a dog, he should wage his tail and act happy to see them, try to get them to pet him and make happy little sounds and act really smart! So this is what Care Free did, and some children selected him and were taking him home. Before they could get him in their car, he bolted and ran.

A few days later, they came up on a very young child that appeared to be lost and the both stayed by the child’s side and were trying to get her back to where there were people. Care Free and Lightfoot, were doing a really good job of protecting her from being hurt. A radio station was telling people of the little girl being lost and a search was being made.

The little girl was located and placed in a car to be taken to the police station and Lightfoot and Care Free had gotten into the car with her. The parents were so happy and when they heard how the cat and dog were protecting their little girl, they adopted both the cat and the dog. So Care Fee and Lightfoot, decided to try this living in a home and if they didn’t like this way of life, they could start traveling again.

Hey, Is anyone interested in adopting me ?
