Who said I can't park here ?

Who said I can’t park here?
The next thing I heard was the Judge telling me things I had never heard before.

But! But! Your Honor, I thought sidewalks were public property! There were no “No Parking signs” any where close by!

But the judge had a one track mind and he was going to speak his piece regardless of what I wanted to say. Before I knew it, two officer had a hold of me, one under each arm and were dragging me, a kicking and screaming, down a long corridor and into a room at the end.

Once inside I noticed the room had no windows and only the one door and a large mirror on one wall. There was a plain table in the center which was about two foot wide by six foot in length and there were two plain wood chairs one on each side of the table, in front of the mirror. And there was one plain wood chair across the table with a bright light hanging over it with large green shade. I was sat in the chair facing the mirror.

The heat from the light was making me sweat. I also noticed a faint smell, like burnt rubber. I thought to myself, “Oh No”, they wouldn’t do that to me, would they?

They kept me there for a long time, I was so tired and hungry and police officers and detectives were coming and going. Each seemed to have special questions to ask and I had no idea of what they were talking about. I had a feeling that some one else was watching me and it made the hair on my neck and arms stand up!

That was thirty two years ago, and today I will be released and I still don’t know why I was brought here in the first place. The only thing I know for sure is: Never Park your car on a City Sidewalk. They get real mean when you do that. Just remember to say “Yes Sir”, “No sir”, and “Thank you Sir.”

As the guards opened the last gate they said, now stay out of trouble Jim ! "JIM" that's not my name,
My name is "Ben"

Okay, so I read between the lines. Your mascara was running and it was 32 years ago.
